William Charlton established his first company (a landscape construction company) while attending university in 1998. After moving to Calgary in 2001, William worked and travelled for Hockey Canada as a hockey referee in both the college and junior hockey leagues while completing his degree at the University of Calgary.
In 2004, he worked for a Calgary home builder, learning all aspects of the home building process from permits and design to selling new homes and obtaining new home mortgage financing.
In 2006, William was given an incredible opportunity to join Calvert Home Mortgage Investment Corporation where he learned from three of the most respected and trusted individuals in the mortgage industry.
Having spent the last decade working with some of the most astute real estate investors in Canada, William continues his passion for mortgages and real estate as both a mortgage lender and investor.
He is very active within the mortgage industry. William has taught the mortgage associate program at Mount Royal University and has been on the Board of the Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association. As a speaker at several of Canada's leading real estate conferences, his knowledge of real estate financing is well recognized.
In 2013, William was presented with the Executive Award by the Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association.
In 2018, aside from helping people fund their properties, William spends most of his time riding his horses and camping with his family in the mountains.
